In April, four Geographic Science majors (Kyle Smith, TJ Kirk, Meghan Mooney, and Jonathan Rivas) presented their senior research at the annual Association of American Geographers (AAG) conference in Los Angeles.
In 2012, Bob Kolvoord was named Esri's first education ambassador. Michael Gould, global education manager at Esri, had approached him earlier in the year about a pilot program the company was creating to introduce GIS to secondary students living in developing countries.
After more than a year of research and work, senior integrated science and technology, geographic science and intelligence analysis majors completed their capstone presentations last Friday, a project which started their junior year.
Blacks Run restoration and a wireless lawnmower are among the more than 50 student projects that will be profiled at this year's ISAT Capstone Project Symposium.
